The owner of Coconut Paradise has announced on facebook the closure of the café Coconut paradise but the evolution of the brand.
Ashley Samuels-Mckenzie, owner of Coconut Paradise has announced it will close its Gold Street Mews restaurant on 21 December, marking the end of its three-year run at the venue.
But fans of the Caribbean-inspired eatery won’t have to mourn for long — this is not a full stop, but a pivot.
The team behind Coconut Paradise has confirmed plans for a major evolution in 2026, shifting their focus to pop-ups, collaboration events, festivals, and travelling food experiences across Northamptonshire and beyond.
“Paradise is going on the road,” Ashley McKcenzie said, signalling a new, more flexible chapter designed to bring their flavours to a wider audience.
Since opening, Coconut Paradise has carved out a loyal community — a place known as much for its atmosphere as its food. In their announcement, the team offered a heartfelt thank-you to the customers who “ate with us, laughed with us, danced with us and helped create this vibrant community.”
Before the doors close for the last time, the restaurant is planning a programme of special December closing events. Details will be released in the coming weeks, and the venue will continue to welcome walk-ins, reservations, deliveries and takeaways right up to the final day.
For now, diners are being invited to enjoy “one more slice of paradise” before Coconut Paradise begins its next adventure.
This may be farewell to the building — but not to the journey.
