Despite the blistering heat, residents threw open their garden gates to visitors on Bank Holiday Monday, showcasing colourful displays they had lovingly prepared through the soaring temperatures. With plenty more gardens still to explore, the event proved the sunshine was no match for community spirit and blooming creativity — or the ever-popular community bus ferrying visitors between gardens.
