A celebrated Northamptonshire chef is just one of many local figures preparing to take part in a major county-wide celebration of food and drink next month.
James Peck, of Ember restaurant, will host a special outdoor event – the Ember Texas Tipi Feast – on May 29, offering guests an open-flame dining experience as part of the wider Northamptonshire Food & Drink Week programme.
His event is one of a diverse line-up planned across the county, as organisers prepare for ten days of culinary events showcasing local talent, produce and hospitality.
Running from Friday, May 29 to Sunday, June 7, Northamptonshire Food & Drink Week is now in its third year and continues to grow as a key fixture in the county’s events calendar. The celebration is organised by Made in Northamptonshire and the Northamptonshire Tourism Business Network, with headline sponsorship from Wilson Browne Solicitors.
A full programme is currently being finalised, but visitors can expect a wide range of experiences, including special menus, tasting sessions, food festivals, chef collaborations and pop-up events. Organisers say the week is designed to cater to all tastes, from relaxed dining to hands-on food experiences.
One of the flagship attractions will be the Food and Drink Festival at Delapré Abbey, alongside unique one-off events such as Peck’s Texas Tipi Feast, which promises an atmospheric evening centred around fire cooking, bold flavours and shared dining.
