Two Northamptonshire authors will be celebrating their latest works at a joint book launch hosted at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday, October 4, from 10am to 3pm.
The town’s former mayor, Dennis Meredith, has just published his fourth book. He began his writing career at the age of 83 with a self-published autobiography, My Life the Way I See It. Since then, he has turned his hand to romantic fiction. His latest novel tells the story of Veronica, an alcoholic mother of two daughters whose lives take very different paths: Elizabeth enters a convent while Carol launches her own magazine. The book explores their struggles and triumphs in love, work, and family.
Dennis will be joined by fellow local writer Peter, who is unveiling his new children’s story, Flossy and the Tiger.
The free event offers book lovers the chance to meet both authors, hear more about their creative journeys, and pick up signed copies. It also highlights Northampton’s growing literary scene and the museum’s role as a hub for community arts and culture.
